Youth
Spring Spec
Spring Spectacular is an annual youth retreat on Easter weekend. Youth from 6th grade through 12 grade are eligible to attend. We leave the church on Thursday evening and returnon Easter Sunday for the morning worship service. Before leaving the camp on Sunday morning, we have a communion service. Throughout the weekend we have praise and worship, preaching sessions, teaching sessions, and competitive games.
Camp Caleb
For our week of summer camp for our Junior High through high school age young people we go to Camp Caleb in Blaine, Kentucky along with several other Churches. We leave our church on Sunday afternoon and return late Friday evening. It is a great week of Preaching sessions, daily devotions in the cabins, "Back Deck" time in the morning and more. The teens are in their Bible 5 time a day between devotions and preaching sessions. There are also games where the teens are split into 4 teams called Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. It is a jam packed week with Jesus filled fun and lots of lives changed because of it.
Mission Trips
Mission Trips are also a big part of our Youth Program here at FBC. We have taken trips to Sao Paulo Brazil, Utah, Baltimore & Gulfport, Mississippi. We also have a mission ministry to the Children at the Huntington City Mission. Each trip comes with it own challenges but also blessing to numerous to mention.
Local Missions Trips
Once a month we take our teens to the Huntington City Mission to work with the Children. This is a great opportunity to show our teens that it is important to share the gospel with people whether it is around the world or around the corner.
